There are two things Lily loves most: journeying into magical worlds through stories, and petting every sweet, fluffy creature she meets (cats, dogs, bunnies, horses, sheep, lonely strays, and everything from poodles to pit bulls). She once tried petting a goat and a bull too… but apparently, they weren’t cuddle fans.
At sixteen, she even got engaged to a Ridgeback dog. Unfortunately, he never said “I do”… or agreed to wear the tiny tuxedo she bought him.
Even though she’s technically an “adult” now (ugh), she’s kept her entire collection of childhood toys—and continues to write new, exciting adventures starring them.
How many bears does she have? No one knows. She lost count somewhere in the early 2000s.
Her favorite hobby? Dressing up and helping shy kids come out of their shells in the most magical way: by creating improvised theater stories together.
Amy Winterwood has lived and breathed fantasy since childhood—from spotting fairies in the woods to crafting sweeping high fantasy tales.
Whether heartwarming, romantic, hilarious, or thrilling, her stories are written to spark wonder and entertain readers of all ages.
Lotti’s obsession with magic started long ago... She once tried flying on the kitchen broom, but with green plastic bristles, obviously it wasn’t the real thing and wouldn’t take off. Her mom suggested trying the mop instead, but Lotti just rolled her eyes.
So one cold autumn morning, before dawn, her mother hunted down a street cleaner and bought an authentic, old broom with real twig bristles off him.
Lotti excitedly pulled out her spell book—full of spells she’d carefully copied down from the Bibi Blocksberg movie—and together they mounted the broom.
She waved her wand and... let’s just say it didn’t quite take off, and she still had to walk to school that day. 😢
Years later, during one of the darkest times in her life, she found Magic Mia.
The fearless, courageous, kind girl who comes from a hopeless background, a family everyone secretly laughs at, and who’s expected to fail, just like her upline.
But instead, she becomes one of the greatest heroes in history.
Against all odds, awkward, determined, and full of heart, she battles the greatest foes and darkest armies of evil on her own. Using wit, kindness, and courage, she outsmarts invincible enemies and even turns rivals into loyal friends.
From hilarious to thrilling, each story follows a new adventure. Whether she’s fighting solo or going on adventures with her gran, her mom, or her best friends—even when they’re scared—they face the darkness and defeat it.
“Mia was the warm light I needed. She was what made life worth living during that lonely, painful, dark phase of my life,” Lotti recalls.
“Her stories were filled with the bravery, victories, and friendships I needed. And most of all, they encouraged me to keep fighting. To believe a brighter dawn is ahead. That good can win over evil in the end.”
Every little kid finds different ways to annoy and ‘revenge’ on their parents.
Gloria’s bestie wet the bed in protest.
Another friend had a screaming tantrum for exactly 40 minutes a day.
And Gloria?
Gloria delighted in watching her mother grimace, cringe, and shudder in disgust…
as she told tales of farts that blew up buildings, sticky green booger strings used to bind up thieves and rescue princesses from towers, gooey-pooey disasters that buried towns, and cool snot-flinging heroines.
When she realized it made adults flee the room in horror—and kids squeal in delight—a new breed of unlikely (and very ewwy, gooey) heroes was born...
A whole genre of “horror goo”…
and Ms. Goo herself.
